Sure thing! We accept submissions year-round and publish 1-2 pieces per week – in German & English.
We read every submission and we don't ghost anyone. That means a response can take up to 3 months. Accepted texts get editorial support from us, meaning we might discuss a few small tweaks with you before your piece goes live. We handle the visual design completely, so you don't have to worry about a thing.

We're interested in interrogating the "normal": life in wage labor, the nuclear family, the climate catastrophe, postcolonialism. We want to gather critical perspectives on all of this and create utopian spaces – queer, feminist, anti-racist, and anti-capitalist. We take a broad view of what counts as political. What we're looking for in creative submissions is something concrete and alive – not sloganistic or heavy-handed. For us, literature isn't a zombie – it captures present-day voices in contemporary language.

Because we believe art should be freely accessible, we're an online-only magazine. That means we're open to any format that works well digitally. Below is a list of possible formats – though it's not meant to rule out other ideas. We usually pair non-literary submissions with an interview.

Per submission, send us either one prose or essay piece (up to 10,000 characters including spaces), a maximum of 3 poems, or an art portfolio of up to 10 pages.
There are good reasons to want to stay anonymous – we're happy to publish you under a pseudonym with a placeholder image, or fully anonymously under our profile.
We currently can't pay for contributions – we're independent and entirely community-funded. Paying authors and artists fairly is our stated goal, and we're getting closer step by step. What you do get from us: editorial support, careful visual design, your own profile on our site, and distribution through the magazine, our newsletter and social media.
The copyright stays with you. By submitting, you're only giving us permission to publish your piece in our magazine, on social media, and in our newsletter. We're happy for you if your piece also appears in another magazine – just let us know, and feel free to tag us in your posts.
