We accept submissions at any time and publish two entries per week. Whether it’s poetry, prose, essays, or art—in both German and English.
Please send us only texts up to 10,000 characters (including spaces) or a maximum of 5 poems per submission.
We are looking for all possible forms of art that can be published in online format: visual art (photos or scans thereof), music and of course literature (poetry, prose, essays).
We are a magazine that explores the processing of contemporary culture and hopes to find future perspectives through it. We believe that late-capitalist society clings to the past because it cannot imagine a future—and we want to counteract this. Therefore, we strive to avoid nostalgia in our writing, for example, by not using outdated language (unless it serves a literary purpose). For us, literature is not a zombie, but can offer critical or hopeful perspectives and engage with contemporary language.
We prefer progressive/experimental poetry to classic couplets, etc. Feel free to send us a selection of several poems.
We're looking for short texts or novel excerpts that fit our themes.
Essays on topics such as socio-political issues or art are welcome.
For visual art submissions, please send a portfolio of your work as a PDF.
If you want to remain anonymous: no problem, we'll gladly post with a Pigeon Publishing profile and a placeholder image.
The copyright remains with you. By submitting your work, you are only giving your permission for us to publish your submission in the magazine and create an Instagram post. If you would like to publish the texts elsewhere, please let us know and feel free to mention us in your posts.
